Welcome to the Lavington Memories Online!

This is a shared web space for the collection of stories and photos from Lavington. The Lavington Memories project is included in the Write around the Murray story festival for Albury/Wodonga.

The festival will take place from July 27 to August 5 2007. The Lavington Memories exhibition opens at the Lavington Library at 11 am Monday 30 July and continues to 31 August.



Lavington Memories is an exhibition that celebrates the unique identity and local history of Lavington. The local experiences and memories of members of the Lavington community have been recorded and documented using three different mediums: film and the production of a digital story; these website contributions recording memories online; and objects, photographs and maps, which are displayed at the Lavington Library. The final medium of film encapsulates the uniqueness of Lavington and features the many faces who are the heart of the Lavington community. View the film from the Lavington Movies page.

We invite you to apply to be a writer in this site and add a story. To add a Lavington Memory, using the simple template pages provided in the sections listed on the left beneath the Lavington Memories link. Don't forget to save your work. Instructions for creating a page are provided here.

If you have photographs of Lavington you may like to add your images in the Picture Gallery page. Keep images small, no bigger than 200 x 150 pixels and upload in .jpg format. See samples below. Instructions for adding an image are provided here.
