Spurr FamilySpurr Memories - Lavington Memories
Trevor Spurr

Les and Jessie took up residence in Dick Road East Lavington 1940 along with four children - Gordon, Grant, Trevor and June. Later Keith and Lesley were born.
Wagga Road end of Dick Road - Skinners - Peter Dick and wife, son Les who ran a dairy farm - Hiltons - McCardles. Next door to us was Tresize - Ogston - Kaylocks - Gordons and Hannas. Dick Road was white powdery clay lined with gum trees.
Many family confrontations amongst the older children were soon to melllow into life long friendships.
Weekly supplies were delivered by horse and cart from Wagga Road Store.
Ice was delivered by horse and buggy twice weekly.
No electricity or water.
The older four witnessed an Indian Cremation, now the site of North Albury/Lavington Pool.
All six children still living, four still reside in Lavington.
