I am 55 now, I can remember when I was just a little kid there was an old man with a big grey beard who lived opposite on the North end of the Lavington Football Oval, in a street which ran between Urana Road and Parnell Street; his name was George Spurr. He had Draught horses and he used to snig logs around his place using harness and chains on the horses. I can still hear the noise of the clinking of the chains as he did it. I lived in the house opposite the end of Parnell Street in Douglas Road; I think John Cochrane lives there now. I now live in Dalby in Queensland. Pat-John O'Connor 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?
